Model R Instructions |
| The AUTO POWER Model R self-starting generator is designed
for use in remote areas where power is required only on an intermittent
basis for pumping water, ventilation, lighting, etc.
The Model R is portable, compact, easy to hook up, reliable and a very affordable alternative to having a commercial power supply installed in many remote areas. the Model R AUTO POWER starts and runs only when there is a demand for electrical power. To accomplish this, the Model R needs only to be connected to a signal switch. The signal switch can be a type of (off-on) switch that might be controlled by a float in a water tank, a pressure switch, a thermostat, a motion detector, or anytime of off/on control. When the signal switch goes to the "on" position, the AUTO POWER automatically starts providing 120V - 240V power. When the power demand is filled, the switch goes to the "off" position automatically shutting the generator off, to restart the next time there is a demand for power whether it is two minutes or two months from then. |
To put the AUTO POWER in service:
1. Place AUTO POWER in a well-ventilated, dry location. 2. Attach ground wire to generator frame. 3. Connect fuel supply (LP or natural gas) to engine. The LP or natural gas fittings, lines and regulators must be in compliance with the local, state and federal laws (must be regulated to 6.35 oz/sq. in.). 4. Attach wires on signal switch to the lugs on control box. 5. Install battery. 6. Move the switch on control box to the "on" position. |
The AUTO POWER Model R 7 KW Honda-Powered generator is a popular choice for remote well site use, weighing less than 225 lb. Having measurements of 32" long, 23" high and 20" wide also makes it very compact and portable.
Ideal method to supply power to remote cabins.
